The bet floor does the negotiating here: Plinko loads at 1.00 FUN per drop with the Min and minus buttons already greyed out, so the stake is not a dial that turns down. What moves instead is the Risk Level panel. Switching from Low to High leaves the peg board alone but redraws the bucket row beneath it, and at the full sixteen rows the spread runs from x1000 at the edges down to x0.2 in the middle, where a landing returns only a fifth of the stake. The sequels accept 0.10 per drop; this 2019 original does not, so risk selection is where a small session budget actually gets shaped.
